Menangi Derby, Lunci Sukses Milan Raih Scudetto

ROMA - CEO AC Milan Adriano Galliani memberikan sedikit analisa terkait kesuksesan timnya merengkuh gelar scudetto musim ini. Menurut Galliani, kunci sukses Rossoneri musim ini adalah kemenangan di laga derby.

Galliani menilai kesuksesan Milan di musim ini tidak lepas dari kemenenangan meyakinkan (3-0) Alexandre Pato dkk atas rival sekotanya Inter Milan pada pertemuan kedua Derby Milan, awal April lalu. Kemenangan tersebut, menurut Galliani, telah memberikan suntikan motivasi berlipat buat para punggawa Milan untuk menyelesaikan musim dengan prestasi.

“Persimpangan jalan (penentu) Milan di musim ini adalah derby kedua melawan Inter Milan,” tutur Galliani sebagaimana dikutip Football-Italia, Minggu (8/5/2011).

“Kami semua sangat bahagia, sungguh luar biasa. Scudetto tetap berada di kota Milan, namun berpindah ke kubu yang lain (Milan). Kami juga harus berterima kasih kepada Silvio Berlusconi atas semua pencapaian ini,” sambungnya.

Duel kedua Milan melawan Inter memang menjadi penentu sukses Rossoneri di musim ini. Sebelum duel di San Siro, Milan diketahui tengah dalam posisi krisis menyusul dua hasil buruk di Serie A (imbang lawan Bari dan kalah dari Palermo). Dengan hanya unggul dua angka dari Inter, besar kemungkinan Milan tidak akan meraih scudetto bila gagal menang.

Namun, dwigol Alexandre Pato dan Antonio Cassano berhasil menyuntikkan kembali motivasi para pemain Milan yang berhasil menjaga jarak dengan Inter (lima poin). Terbukti usai derby della Madonnina tersebut, Milan tidak terkalahkan di lima laga berikutnya hingga akhirnya memastikan gelar scudetto ke-18.
