Nesta Bangga Milan Raih Scudetto

MILAN – Rasa bangga tertanam di diri Alessandro Nesta setelah berhasil menyabet Scudetto kedua selama sembilan musim membela AC Milan.

Rossoneri merayakan Scudetto ke-18 sepanjang sejarah mereka setelah berhasil menahan imbang AS Roma tanpa gol di Olimpico Roma dini hari tadi. Bagi Nesta pribadi, ini merupakan gelar kedua selama membela Il Diavolo sejak 2002 silam.

Melihat penampilan skuad besutan Massimiliano Allegri sepanjang musim, bek veteran mengklaim timnya memang layak merebut mahkota tertinggi di Serie A musim ini.

“Kami berada di puncak klasemen selama hampir sepanjang musim, jadi ini sudah wajar kami berada di sana pada akhir musim. Kami memegang keunggulan delapan poin dan Scudetto sangat layak diraih,” tegas Nesta selepas laga.

Bicara peforma individu, Nesta menyebut Zlatan Ibrahikovic dan Thiago Silva merupakan pemain yang paling menonjol sepanjang kompetisi. Ya, Ibra memang menjadi kunci Allegri di lini depan sementara konsistensi Silva membuat gawang Milan paling sedikit kebobolan, hanya 23 gol.

“Saya mendedikasikan gelar ini untuk keluarga. Ibra dan Silva pemain yang paling menentukan,” tutup Nesta, sebagaimana dilansir Football-Italia, Minggu (8/5/2011).
