Berebut Gelar, Ferdinand & Lampard Harus Bermusuhan

MANCHESTER - Demi sebuah gelar juara Premier League, Rio Ferdinand mengaku tidak berbicara terhadap Frank Lampard dalam beberapa hari mendatang.

Perlu diketahui, Ferdinand dan Lampard pernah sama-sama memperkuat West Ham United. Bahkan, hubungan antara kedua pemain ini terus berjalan sepanjang karier, termasuk saat membela Timnas Inggris.

Namun, ketika medali dan trofi tengah diperebutkan oleh Manchester United dan Chelsea, maka mereka berdua memutuskan untuk berhenti berhubungan. Ini menjadi sebuah tradisi bagi Ferdinand dan Lampard.

"Pada saat ini, saya dan Lampard untuk sementara tidak berbicara dulu. Ini merupakan sebuah perjanjian yang memang tidak tertulis antara kami berdua," demikian komentar Ferdinand yang akan berduel dengan Lampard di lapangan.

Ya, Chelsea yang menempati peringkat kedua klasemen sementara Premier League ini, memang akan menantang United, sang pemuncak klasemen. Pertarungan bak final ini akan berlangsung di Old Trafford, Minggu (8/5/2011) besok.

"Sepanjang musim, kami memang sering mengirimkan pesan disini dan disana. Namun, ketika penghujung musim, jika kami berdua terlibat dalam perebutan gelar juara, maka tidak ada pembicaraan lagi," tandasnya dilansir Eurosports, Sabtu (7/5/2011).
