Cavani Terus Kejar Gelar Pribadi

Napoli musim ini tampaknya bakal gagal memenangi persaingan merebut Scudetto. Striker Edinson Cavani pun menyatakan timnya akan puas dengan pencapaian di peringkat kedua pada pekan terakhir.

Gagal membawa Napoli meraih gelar, Cavani kini mengejar gelar individual di Serie A. Dengan torehan 26 gol di Serie A seperti yang dikemas Antonio Di Natale (Udinese), Cavani mengincar gelar pencetak gol terbanyak musim ini.

“Pertama, kami harus memastikan lolos ke Liga Champions dan kemudian jika saya bisa memenangi gelar top skorer, saya akan senang. Saya mengatakan kepada Di Natale bahwa dia telah memenangi ini sebelumnya, jadi dia harus membiarkan saya memenanginya kali ini. Saya bersaing dengan Toto (panggilan Di Natale), pemain profesional yang hebat,” ujar Cavani.

Gelar top skorer Serie A bukan satu-satunya incaran Cavani. Pemain Uruguay itu juga mengejar gelar idividual yang lebih prestisius yakni gelar pemain terbaik Eropa. “Mimpi saya untuk selalu membawa tim sukses, tapi di level pribadi saya ingin memenangi sepatu emas atau bola emas (Ballon d Or). Saya melihat itu di rumah (Ricardo) Kaka, tapi saya tak ingin menyentuhnya karena saya lebih senang menunggu milik saya sendiri,” katanya.

Sementara untuk Napoli, Cavani tetap akan berjuang meski bukan lagi untuk meraih Scudetto. “Sekarang kami harus finis di peringkat kedua dan menjadi runner up. Kami akan menyimpulkan pada akhir musim, tapi target kami adalah finis di peringkat kedua atau ketiga. Kami masih yakin,” ujar Cavani.
