Pelatih Barcelona, Pep Guardiola, mengatakan, dalam sebuah duel penuh gengsi melawan Real Madrid, pasukan Catalan wajib memiliki mental kuat.

“El Clasico” memang penuh emosi. Pada leg pertama babak semifinal Liga Champions pekan lalu, pertarungan kedua tim diwarnai berbagai insiden yang berbuntut panjang, bahkan akan dibawa ke meja hukum.

Guardiola berharap anak asuhnya tahan mental karena akan menghadapi laga seperti itu lagi di Camp Nou, Rabu (4/5/2011) dini hari WIB. “Ini adalah semifinal yang sangat sulit. Kami akan lihat seberapa kuat mental kami. Saya tahu para fans akan membantu kami terutama jika hal-hal menjadi sulit,” kata Pep.

“Saya membayangkan kami harus benar-benar fokus karena ini akan sulit. Ini mental yang berbicara,” tambahnya.

Pada leg pertama, Barca membuat Madrid tak berkutik. Ini terbukti dengan penguasaan bola Xavi dan kawan-kawan yang begitu dominan. Pep memerintahkan pasukannya untuk mengulangi hal tersebut.

“Kami harus memindahkan bola dengan cepat dan saya yakin akan ada banyak kecemasan. Tetapi, fans akan berada di sana untuk membantu kami. Besok kami akan mencoba untuk memainkan sepakbola terbaik milik kami,” tegasnya.
