Italia Vs Spanyol di Napoli

FIGC (PSSI-nya Italia), menjadwalkan partai persahabatan antara timnas Italia menghadapi timnas Spanyol pada Agustus mendatang. FIGC juga menentukan bahwa pertandingan itu akan digelar di kota Napoli.

"Italia akan segera kembali ke San Paolo. Kami akan menggelar laga persahabatan ini pada 10 Agustus dan ini adalah pertandingan yang membutuhkan venue yang penting. Napoli adalah salah satu opsinya. Kami ingin memahami kondisi dari banyak arena dan kemudian kami akan membuat keputusan," ujar Direktur Umum FIGC, Antonello Valentini.

Dipilihnya Napoli tampaknya tak lepas dari kebangkitan mantan klub Diego Maradona ini. Dalam beberapa musim terakhir, Napoli telah menjelma jadi salah satu kuda hitam di Serie A. Dan, musim ini, kuda hitam itu berhasil merangsek ke pacuan gelar juara.

FIGC merespon kebangkitan salah satu raksasa Italia ini. Menurut Valentini, sukses Napoli musim ini tak hanya merupakan andil dari para pemain dan pelatih. Menurut dia, sukses ini adalah dampak dari rapihnya manajemen klub.

"Kiprah mereka sangat menarik untuk dilihat dan pujian ditujukan kepada tim, pelatih, tapi juga organisasi klub. Presiden Aurelio De Laurentiis melakukan pekerjaan hebat dalam memicu antusiasme dan investasinya. Melihat Napoli di Liga Champions membuat semua penggemar sepakbola senang," ujar Valentini.
