Jones Ke Arsenal????

LANCASHIRE – Ketika Arsenal dianggap tak lagi berpeluang menyabet trofi Premier League musim ini, bek Blackburn Rovers Phil Jones melempar pujian kepada tim asuhan Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners memang kerap menampilkan permainan menyerang yang belakangan mulai ditinggalkan juru taktik sepakbola. Sayang, performa atraktif yang disuguhkan anak-anak London Utara hingga saat ini belum membuahkan hasil.

Meski begitu, tak menyurutkan niat Jones angkat topi dengan permainan yang diperagakan The Gunners.

“Saya pikir Arsenal memainkan sepakbola paling cantik di Premier League,” kata Jones kepada The Independent.

“Sejujurnya, uang sangat membantu. Memiliki uang lebih banyak membuat Anda main dengan cara yang pasti, tapi itulah indahnya Premier League, ada banyak gaya berbeda,” sambung bek belia ini.

Namun, Jones juga sependapat dengan anggapan permainan cantik tak selama menjamin kesuksesan. Arsenal menjadi bukti sahih untuk menguatkan opininya.

“Anda tahu tak mudah bagi Arsenal pergi ke Stoke City dan menang di sana. Ini tak menyindir gaya siapa pun, inilah ciri Premier League dan semua orang menyukainya,” ujarnya, seperti disitat Goal, Jumat (6/5/2011).
